1981 - 1984 Opthalmology Consultant, Nurenberg American Hospital and to 15 outlying health clinics with population of 75,000 active duty dependants and retired personnel with a 12,000 square mile area.
- Job was to provide health care to patients and continuous education to general medical officers.
- Establish a close working relationship with German opthamologists at Erlangen University
- 1982 Instrumental in organizing and starting the intraocular lens implant program in American hospitals in West Germany.
